The Japan – East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youths (JENESYS) Program is established and started in 2007 when Prime Minister Shinzo Abe announced the at the 2nd East Asia Summit (held in the Philippines on January 15, 2007), Japan will embark on a 5-year extensive youth exchange program and annually invite approximately 6,000 youngsters from member countries of the East Asia Summit and other Asian nations, mainly from member countries of the East Asia Summit (EAS): China, South Korea, ASEAN, India, Australia, New Zealand.

The purpose of JENESYS program is to create a commonly shared future vision for the region to form a “strong solidarity among Asian countries” by promoting mutual understanding through youth exchange within the region.
This two weeks Program, give a chance not only for high school students but also for high schools’ educator to have a chance for direct interaction with Japan community and learn from educational community. They will have a chance to visit facilities and regional cities where the current realities of the Japanese political system, economic system, social and cultural aspects can be experienced.

Through this program you will also experience cultural exchange opportunities (homestay, camping, school visits, camp training, debates, seminars, East Asia forums, etc.) to interact with Japanese youngsters/teachers and citizens from a wide range of fields

Participants will become young ambassador during the program and upon their return the students will apply their leadership skills in Indonesia. In addition, alumni groups will help participants continue to be involved with many community service activities including.
